Anambra State Government has reassured security agencies of its resolve to deploy more measures to strengthen their joint partnership to further secure the state.
Governor Willie Obiano said this when he received newly appointed Army’s General Officer, Commanding 82 Division, Enugu, Brig.-Gen. Lasisi Adegboye, at Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia.
He explained that the GOC was on familiarisation visit to formally inform him that he had officially taken over from the former GOC.
Gov. Obiano emphasised that he would continue to support the army and other security agencies to sustain the pace of security in the state.
The Anambra Times recalls that the present administration distributed sophisticated security gadgets and operational vehicles to security agencies in the state.

The operational vehicles are 111 super smart vehicles, 9 high powered mobile CCTV with communication networks, three modern road patching machines, 71 motorcycles for Motorbike Squads of Civil Defence and Immigration Services.
Other security agencies that received some of security cars are Directorate of State Services (DSS), Navy, Army, FRSC, Correctional Services (Prisons) and the Immigration Service.
Obiano enjoined the GOC to use his good offices to ensure that the army and other security agencies would work hard to secure life and property of Ndi Anambra.
The GOC, Brig. Gen. Adegboye, promised to sustain the security status in the state.
