Following the reoccurring robbery cases including alleged Fulani herdsmen attacks in Issele Azagba Community near Asaba in Delta state, angry youths at the weekend set an armed bandit allegedly belonging a three-man gang in ablaze while two other gang members escaped by the whiskers.

Sources said the robbery gang had dispossessed occupants of a compound in the area of their valuables, but were unlucky when one of them was caught by the youths who thereupon, set him ablaze.
But, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Onome Onovwakpoyeya, who confirmed the incident to journalists in Asaba, said “the armed bandits were three, but one of them was unlucky after they had robbed occupants of a compound.

“And he was set ablaze by the youths who mobilized to the scene after receiving distress calls. We are investigating the incident and we will not relent in our decision to make Issele Azagba Community crime free including the entire state.”
It was gathered that the armed bandits heavily armed, robbed all the other, but unfortunately for them, one of them was caught and the other two abandoned their loot and took to their heels.
