NKIRU NWAGBO, AWKA
Chief Chukwuemeka- Odumegwu Ojukwu Junior, the first son of late Dim Chukwuemeka- Odumegwu Ojukwu the Biafran war Lord has described the Anambra Governorship election as peaceful and divine as what was expected did not come to pass.
He said that the victory of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA so far in the election is as a result of the resolve of the people to take their destinies in their hands and make sure that their votes count.
According to Ojukwu Jr who spoke to reporters at his country home Nnewi yesterday; “This is an election that needed to be held. It needed to be held to ensure the survival of a Party with a divine mandate to deliver for the people.
It had to be held to ensure continuity and allow the State to grow, building on the foundation left by Governor Obiano and his predecessor, to ensure Anambra continues to move forward and not backwards.
It had to be held to fulfill our debt to Ezeigbo and other foundation members who passed the torch on to us.
He noted that the father figure image of his late father in the Party has been the tonic upon which All Progressive Grand Alliance has been wining.
His word “His image, as always, loomed large. It is the symbol which unified us all and inspires us to forge a united destiny for our people.
That in no way takes away from the monumental effort made by His Excellency Governor Obiano, who by sheer force of will and the support of well meaning stakeholders, made the impossible possible.
