Amidst Strikes, Cristiano Ronaldo Leaves Saudi Arabia, Travels to Madrid.
Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain and forward for Al-Nassr, left Saudi Arabia for Madrid, Spain, as tensions in the Middle East increased following US-Israeli strikes in Iran.
The 41-year-old left Riyadh late at night on his £61 million ($81 million) Bombardier Global Express 6500 private jet, according to the Daily Mail on Tuesday.
He is reportedly leaving following regional strikes. Two drones struck the US embassy in Riyadh during the night, and according to Iranian state media, a command and staff building in Bahrain was also destroyed.
“Attacks connected to the regional conflict have affected Riyadh, where Ronaldo resides with his partner Georgina Rodriguez and their five children,” according to the report.
“The aircraft departed Riyadh at 8:00 pm and arrived in Madrid at almost 1:00 am, flying a path over Egypt and the Mediterranean,” according to Flightradar24.
The action comes after several Iranian leaders were reportedly killed in US-Israeli military strikes in Iran on February 28, 2026. Iranian state media announced a seven-day national holiday and 40 days of mourning after confirming the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei early on March 1.
“A limited fire broke out at the United States Embassy in Riyadh after it was hit by two drones,” the Saudi Ministry of Defense stated, adding that the attack resulted in “minor material damage.”
