Alake laments non-patronage of locally made goods

The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo has lamented the low patronage of locally made products in Egbaland by sons and daughters of the town.

Oba Gbadebo made the disclosure in Abeokuta, Ogun State at a press conference heralding his 75th birthday anniversary.

The monarch said his greatest challenge was his inability to convince his subjects to patronize locally made products like the locally made attire (Adire) of the Egbaland as well as the local ofada rice.

Oba Gbadebo noted that the refusal of Egba indigenes to patronize the Adire/Kampala textile and Ofada rice produce in Abeokuta was his greatest challenge in the last 13years on the throne.
