Al-Makura submits 11 names to State Assembly for confirmation as commissioners

Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa state has sent the names of 11 nominees to the state House of Assembly for confirmation as commissioners and members of the state executive council.

The list of the nominees was read yesterday in Lafia on the floor of the State House of Assembly by the Speaker, Hon Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullah.

The names include Hajiya Halima Jabiru, Salisu Abubakar Haske, Pham. Victor Tella, Mary Enwongulu, Suleiman, Hajiya Jamila Sarki , Dr Roseline Kera, Hajiya Sa’adatu Yahaya, Wudu Yamba, Dr clement Uhembe and Hon Mohamed Bashir Aliyu.

The letter further speaks that, the appointments followed the recent reshulfflement of his cabinet recently.

Speaker of the Nasarawa state House of Assembly, Alhaji Balarebe Musa urged the nominees to submit their curriculum Vitae (CV) on or before November 30th 2018 and slated December 3rd for screening of the commissioners nominees and possible confirmation.

The governor had on 31st of July 2018 sacked nine commissioners and two special advisers from his government.
