By Elijah Odetokun

Egyptian giants Al Ahly saw their unbeaten run come to an end after they fell to a crushing 3-1 defeat at the hands of bitter rivals Zamalek, according to CGTN.

Al Ahly before the match were unbeaten in the league, having won 18 and drew two of their first 20 games, but hopes of going invincible ended in the Cairo derby.

The 3-1 victory is Zamalek’s second in three games this season.

Zamalek also defeated Al Ahly 4-3 in the Super Cup in February but Al Ahly claimed a 2-0 walkover win days later.
