Akufo-Addo urges African leaders on accountability

The president of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo has charged African leaders to embrace the principles of accountability, rule of law, human rights, individual liberty and freedom, which he acknowledged are crucial to Africa’s development and individual prosperity.

He made the call Monday, at the 58th Annual General Meeting of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Abuja, the nation’s capital, where he called on African leaders to promote good governance in the continent.

“We have a great battle to fight and win. That is the battle to provide our people with a good quality of life,” he said.

The Ghanaian leader emphasized that the continent will do better focusing more on providing quality education for her citizens.
