“It is a thing of honour having the Generalissimo here. There is no territory that can hold claim to you but Only Alaafin can appoint the Generalissimo for the entire Yoruba land.
“You are very deserving of the title. In the time of need for the security of our people you stood tall above all others,” the governor observed.
Further acknowledging the qualities that made the Aare stand out for the title, Ajimobi said he has “made the image of our Socio-/cultural groups enviable.
“You have brought respectability to it through your conduct and carriage. We assure you of our support spiritually, culturally and financially, because you are playing a role that is desirable to our people
“You are a pride to Yoruba land, Africa and the world.”
Concluding, the governor said the Generalissimo of Yoruba land, deserve all the accolades being showered on him.
Speaking earlier, Dr Adams said he was visiting the governor in the political capital of Yoruba land to handover the event of his official installation to him, being the host governor and to appeal to all stakeholders in the state to take advantage of the event to showcase the Tourism potentials of the state.
According to the Aare designate, the Kakanfo title is the only title that brings the entire Yoruba race together, hence his desire that the state leverage on the opportunities being provided by the coming event.
