AIWRA honours Kastina First Lady, Fatima Dikko Radda with ‘African Iconic Women Award’

Fatima Dikko Radda, wife of the governor of Kastina State, Dikko Radda, has been honored with a prestigious African Iconic Woman Of The Century Award at the African Iconic Women Award and Women in Leadership summit 2024 held in Abuja, the nation’s capital a few days ago.

Best known for her graceful aura and heartwarming smile, Dikko, was one of the prominent women in leadership from across countries in Africa who received accolades for their significant contributions to women folk in their different spheres of influence and domains.

According to the statement on the website of AIWRA, “the African Iconic Women Recognition Awards (AIWRA) and Women in Leadership summit 2024 special edition is an initiative designed to celebrate women in leadership as it’s very essential to recognise and appreciate the significant contributions women make in various fields.

This is an opportunity to acknowledge their achievements, highlight their unique perspectives, and inspire future generations of women leaders”.

The well attended awards ceremony which attracted other top dignitaries including first ladies from African countries was organized by Face of Democracy (FDN) and is designed to honour outstanding women who are driving national development and stability through their life-changing initiatives.

Described as First Lady of class and grace, Fatima Dikko Radda was honored in recognition of her humanitarian initiatives since her husband, Governor Dikko Radda assumed the political leadership of Kastina State. Fatima Dikko Radda who is the of DRAG, PAC-F has proved over the last one year or so that there is much more to her than the First Lady title.

Apart from taking care of the home front and allowing her husband to take centre stage and focus on his job, the beautiful woman of substance has also taken it upon herself to compliment her husband’s efforts by reaching out to the women folk and children in Kastina State.
