Suspected herdsmen have allegedly killed four persons and injured three others at Tse-Haaga, Mbabai Ward of Guma Local Government Area of Benue state.

An eyewitness and resident of the area, Mr. Clement Haaga said the militia herdsmen launched the attack using four motorbikes around 5pm and opened fire on residents, killing one person on the spot while five others sustained various degree of injuries.
He explained that two of the injured persons died on their way to the hospital, while the remaining three are still receiving treatment at a local hospital in the area.
He listed those killed to include Samuel Ngbea, David Ngbea, Mbagwen Haaga and Utsuwa Ugber, while Sylvanus Akera, Wasem Akirga, Lydia Karshima and Mnena Torndiir were injured.
Caretaker committee Chairman of Guma Local Government Area, Mr. Anthony Shawon could not be reached for comments as he did not respond to calls.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Catherine Anene, said four persons were killed, just as investigation has been launched by the command.
It will be recalled that suspected herders allegedly killed two persons at Agasha in the same Guma Local Government Area on Monday this week.
