African Airshow excites FAAN boss

The Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Engr Saleh Dunoma has expressed satisfaction over the just concluded first African Airshow held in Accra, Ghana with assurance that Nigeria has the potentials to move aviation forward in the continent.

Speaking with journalists in Accra during the airshow, Engr Dunoma, who was represented by the director of Airport Operations, FAAN ,Capt Rabiu Yadudu said aviation industry was making great progress in the continent.

According to the FAAN boss, there was need to also step up efforts to ensure that awareness was created on external activities with a view to alerting the world of the achievements of the African nations.

“We really need to go a step higher base on what is on ground in Nigeria. We have the manpower, the resources both human and finance to host this type of event but we need to blow our trumpet by creating awareness”

Dunoma commended the Ghanaian government for hosting the first African Airshow in the region. “Ghanaians are trying and I am proud of them but we can do better because we have the potentials and technical know-how to excel”

He noted that such airshows were a avenues for government agencies as well as private companies to show case their business as a means of creating awareness.
