Adi salutes strike partner after seventh MLS goal

Nigerian striker Fanendo Adi has praised his Portland Timbers strike partner Diego Valeri for the assist from which he scored the opening goal in a 2-1 win over FC Toronto.
It was Adi’s seventh goal this season and he is now joint leading scorer in the MLS.
“He makes things very easy for me. I told him after the game that he could have scored that first goal and he told me that I opened up very well, so he passed it to me. He’s an amazing guy and we respect everything he does out there,” Adi disclosed.
Last season, the 25-year-old Nigerian striker fired 18 goals to help Portland Timbers clinch the MLS championship.
