Adeyemi shares journey into impactful entrepreneurship, philanthropy

Adeola Smart Adeyemi, has shared her experience into the journey of how she became an exemplary entrepreneur and philanthropist.

This was contained in a statement made available to pressmen, on Monday, in Abuja.

Born and raised in a humble family, Adeyemi’s determination and passion have guided her towards meaningful entrepreneurship and philanthropic endeavors.

Amidst her entrepreneurial achievements, Deola embraced motherhood with the birth of her first child in early 2022.

However, her commitment to philanthropy never wavered. After a decade of impactful work, she formally registered the Deola Smart Foundation in 2017. Since then, the foundation has demonstrably improved the lives of widows and orphans, empowering them through small business initiatives, food provisions, and scholarships.

The statement reads in part: “Adeola Smart’s story is one of remarkable drive, ambition, and a deep commitment to helping others. Growing up in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria, Deola witnessed her parents’ dedication to charity work, sparking a passion within her that blossomed at the young age of 15 when she began her own charitable initiatives.

“This early exposure to the power of giving back laid the foundation for the impactful entrepreneur and philanthropist she is today.”

On her education and early career, the statement added: “Deola’s journey continued in Abuja, where she completed her secondary education at Lead British International School and later pursued her International Degree Foundation (IDF) at Global International College.

“Her academic pursuits then took her to London, where she earned a 2:1 in Law at Middlesex University, followed by a second degree in Employment Law from the same institution.

On the part of her entrepreneurial journey, the statement says“Upon returning to Nigeria in 2017, Deola’s entrepreneurial spirit ignited. She enrolled at the Nigerian Law School and was called to the bar the following year. However, her true passion lay in creating businesses that would not only benefit her but also leave a positive mark on society.

“In 2019, she founded her technology company, Tuvia, culminating in the launch of her first line of mobile phones named after her late mother, Yemisi – “Tuvia Y-418.”

On diversifying success and expanding horizons, “Deola’s drive didn’t stop there. The same year, she joined forces with her fiancé (now husband) to launch No 1 Hotel LTD, solidifying her presence in the hospitality industry. Their partnership blossomed further in 2020 with their marriage, and in 2021, Deola’s entrepreneurial spirit shone again with the launch of Tuvia Real Estate and Management Ltd.

“The year 2021 also saw the opening of the second branch of No 1 Hotel in Abuja, marking a significant expansion for their hospitality venture. Deola’s creative vision extended beyond hotels, leading to the opening of The Box Underground, a vibrant club and lounge, further diversifying their business portfolio.”
