Adamawa PDP members reaffirm loyalty to party in Shelleng
Some members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Shelleng Local Government Area (LGA) of Adamawa on Friday reaffirmed their loyalty to the party’s leadership in the state.
Alhaji Abubakar Abba, the Chairman of Shelleng LGA, made the confirmation during a courtesy visit to PDP executives in Yola.
Abba said the purpose of the visit was to express their solidarity and renew their commitment to the party’s new leadership.
“Our visit is a symbole of loyalty, unity, and commitment to the progress of PDP in the state.
“We reaffirmed that Shelleng LGA remained a steadfast pillar of the party, rooted in conviction and dedication, we assure you of our people’s 100 per cent cooperation and support,” Abba said.
He further commended the administration of Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri for its developmental strides in Shelleng.
Mr Haruna Ibrahim, the state Commissioner for Mineral Resources, commended the PDP and Fintiri for giving the sons and daughters of Shelleng important roles in both the state government and in the party’s structure.
He encouraged members of the Shelleng community to take advantage of the ongoing voter’s registration and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards ahead of the general elections .
Hajiya Joda Shelleng, the PDP Women leader, also expressed appreciation to the party’s leadership at both the state and local government levels.
Joda appealed to Fintiri to fulfill his promise of ensuring that more women are nominated to serve as Vice Chairpersons in the upcoming local government council elections.
Mr Danjuma Adamu, Legislative Leader in Shelleng, applauded the PDP for creating opportunities for young people in local administration.
He commended Fintiri for his achievements, and for making his government a people-centred administration.
He noted that Adamawa had continued to enjoy peace and visible development under his leadership.
Adamu further appreciated the party for its continued support to youth inclusion in governance.
In his remarks, Alhaji Bello Madagali, PDP state’s Chairman, expressed appreciation to the people of Shelleng for their unwavering support to Fintiri’s administration.
He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
He urged Shelleng residents to remain united as the state prepares for the for local government elections.
