Abraham berates Adetimehin over acting chairman Ondo APC

Segun Abraham, the 2016 gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state has spoken tough over the appointment of Mr. Ade Adetimehin as the state Acting Chair of the ruling party.
Mr. Abraham who was the first runner up in the disputed APC primary noted that crisis rocking the party resurrected as a result of the choice of Adetimehin as the Acting Chairman.
He observed that the appointment of Mr. Adetimehin has deepened the division within the members and leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state.
He explained that the party structure still belongs to the ousted Chairman, Isaacs Kekemeke not Ade Adetimhein who is currently serving as the acting chairman.
Mr. Abraham maintained this through an electronic press statement signed and issued on Thursday in Akure.
Kunle Davies, the Director General of Mr. Abraham Support Group made the press statement available to journalists.
He said that the leadership of the party should seat tight to avert an impending danger that could affect the re-election bid of President Buhari in Ondo state.
“Immediately the name of the self imposed Adetimehin was announced as the acting chairman of the party, the popularity of APC in the state nose dived and upsurge the PDP popularity.
“To avert all these and put the party on sound footing, the leaders and follower in APC should rally round our Chairman, Barrister Isaacs Kekemeke because of his honesty, resilience, integrity and loyalty.
“We have absolute confidence in his leadership and that of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Dr. Abraham. We believe that they can bring back the popularity of the party in the state.
“APC was not on ground in Ondo State , it was Hon. Isaac Kekemeke that brought APC into limelight in this Ondo state and produced two out of the three senators, five out of nine rep members against the corrupt powerful PDP regime.
“He delivered the governorship seat for APC fourteen years from the opposition. His popularity coupled with love and hard work of Chief Segun Abraham and our national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, put APC in forefront in the state.
“Kekemeke used the resource of APC judiciously for the benefit of the grassroots, built the party structure and made the party second to none in the state.
“The two Senators and House of Representatives members including the governorship elections were won because of the popularity and hard work of Chief Segun Abraham , Hon. Isaac Kekemeke and Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Adetimehin and his groups misused the resource of APC and worked for PDP in the senate, reps elections because their candidates did not win the primaries in the central senatorial district.
“Engr. Adetimehin and his cohorts collected and Audi cars from PDP and worked against APC at the said election because of their selfishness” he said.
Reacting, Mr. Adetimehin said his choice as the Acting Chairman of the party was convened to him by the leadership of the party from the National office in Abuja.
He denied that there was any crisis in the party noting that those who have left the fold of the governing APC with plans to come back through the back door are the ones creating troubles.
“We have made it clear that there is no crisis in our party (APC), those who have left for other party like Alliance for Democracy (AD) are the ones trying to give us problem by raising the dust”.
