Abia Women August delegates conference holds
All is set for the 2018 series of the Abia Women August Delegates Conference (AWADEC) organised by the Office of the Wife of the Governor in collaboration with the Ministry of Women Affairs.
The event signifies the Abia State government’s enlightenment and encouragement of its women to participate in the conferences, usually known as August Meetings.
Speaking with Daily Times in his office Umuahia, the Chief Press Secretary, Office of the Wife of the Governor, Eze Ajuzie informed that the event with the theme: “Women Participation in decision making, the Bedrock to Sustainable Development” will feature a keynote address on the roles women can play in expanding the political horizon, and promoting qualitative and responsive leadership.
Ajuzie disclosed that over 3,000 women delegates are expected to attend the event.
