Abia state PDP Chairman, Johnson Onuigbo is dead

Abia state People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chairman, Johnson Onuigbo is dead.
According to the Sun, a source close to the family who wouldn’t want his name in print confirmed the death of the party chairman whose tenure could have expired on April but for the COVID-19 pandemic.

The source however could not give further details as to the cause of his sudden demise.
The deceased headed the party’s caretaker committee after the Abia state chapter of the opposition party dissolved the State Executive Committee of the PDP.
Onuigbo popularly known as Akinboard passed away late hours on Monday, July 27, after a brief illness, his remains was reported to have been deposited at an undisclosed mortuary in a hospital in Umuahia.
