Abia royal fathers endorse Gov Ikpeazu

Having reviewed various calls, adoptions and endorsements by various groups, persons, cultural and political blocks on Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for a second term, the over 730 traditional rulers in the state, Friday adopted the governor for a second term.
In their resolutions following moves for the adoption by Eze Bar Uche Elekwa (Abia North), Eze Edward Ibeabuchi (Abia Central) and Eze Ejirika Egege (Abia south), the traditional rulers said it will be out of order for them to be silent, observing variously that the governor has done well in all sectors of Abia economy.
Earlier in his speech, the Chairman, Abia State Council of Traditional Ruler said the over 770 traditional rulers in the state are in agreement over the adoption for equity to be fully implemented in the state.
According to them, “a journey that is successful is usually repeated”, noting that since Orji Uzor Kalu and T. A. Orji did it for eight years each for Abia North and central respectively, there is the sense for Abia South, through Ikpeazu to also complete its eight years too.
However, the royal fathers sounded it loud and clear that it is for a further one term, not three.
