Abia market women, groups support Gov Ikpeazu’s second term bid

Abia state market women and pro groups numbering over 400 women, on Friday, trooped to the Abia state government house to show their support for Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s second term bid in 2019 gubernatorial elections.
The women who came from the 17 local government areas of Abia state arrived government house around 12pm in the afternoon in their different buses, carrying placards with inscriptions like: “Okezie Ikpeazu carry go”, “One good turn deserves another”, Ikpeazu Chiri Gawa, Ochichi gi di nma”, etc. They were also chanting “Okezie ka anyi ga-eso, ma o na-ejeje ma o ga-abia ozo, Okezie ka anyi ga-eso”.
The women were welcomed at the Michael Opara Auditorium, government house by the wife of the state governor, Deconess Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu, who addressed them. She thanked them for coming and promised that she will continue to support her husband to make sure that he did not only do well for Abians, but also integrate women in his good governance.
Speaking to Daily Times correspondent, Mrs. Charity Onumeme, leader of one of the pro groups said, that the governor is doing well, so he deserves to continue for the next four years as the governor of the state.
