Abia Govt Refutes Forged Election Allegation
Abia State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Dr. ACB Agbazuere, last weekend, refuted the report that the results of last election in the state were forged.
Speaking with newsmen in Umuahia, Dr. Agbazuere said the author of the statement was a “compromised ad hoc staff of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)” and an intimate friend of the immediate past governor of the state, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu.
Dr. Agbazuere described the author of the statement as “protecting parochial interests”, noting that if truly he was an INEC staff, he was supposed to be a high ranking collating officer.
He dismissed the allegation of result forgery as not true, stating that result of Abia Central Senatorial was announced by INEC and even published in the newspapers.
He said that after the announcement of any results by INEC, such results cannot be questioned except at the tribunal and urged the author of the statement to “stop making noise”, adding that “government did not forge any documents or results.”
