Though her office does not control any financial votes, she said through her Vicar Hope Foundation (VHF) she intends to get down to the grassroot and wipe away the tears in the eyes of the indigent in the society, widows and the sick.

Funding of her pet project, she said is not easy but appreciated the governor of the state and other well-meaning Abians for their immense help in sustaining the organisation.

The Abia First Lady used the opportunity to appeal to public spirited individuals to help in assisting the needy in Abia society, stating that her pet project also undertakes medical assistance and more.

The bungalows, she said, would go a long way to alleviate the shelter problems of the beneficiaries.

Obingwa LGA chairman, Hon. Hanson Amaechi; his Ugwunnagbo counterpart, Eze Nwanganga and the member representing Obingwa West in the state House of Assembly, Barrister Thomas Nkoro, thanked the Abia First Lady for her gesture, assuring her of the support of Obingwa and Ugwunnagbo people over her husband’s second term bid, come 2019.

In an exclusive interview with The Abia Times, a faithful of Golden Mothers and member, Okezie pro-group, Madam Favour Ernest, said that if any of the beneficiaries had high blood pressure,

that it will now go down with the gesture of Nkechi Ikpeazu, stating that the gesture is a sure way of getting the people of the local government areas to vote Governor Ikpeazu again.
