Abia to commemorate its creation
All is set for the commemoration of the creation of Abia state 11 years ago. The chairman of Abia State Advisory Council handling this year’s celebration, and proprietor, Alaoma Clinic now defunct, Ezeogo Dr. Anagha Ezeikpe disclosed that population density was one of the reasons for the state’s creation.
Briefing newsmen in Umuahia, Dr. Ezeikpe said it took 11 years to get the state, stating “since then, we (the state) have been trying, but there are certain obstacles and we will develop so that people will feel better of certain illnesses”.
The military, the council disclosed marginalized the south east “but the founding fathers of the state felt we need a state, and we got it”.
