Abia APGA Gov Candidate Commends INEC
The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, has expressed satisfaction with the level of preparation of the state’s Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) towards the general election.
He made the commendation on Tuesday, when he visited the commission’s office, where the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Professor Selina Oko, answered his questions on the preparation for the general election.
He told newsmen, after the visit, that he was in INEC, as a stakeholder and called on politicians to respect the peace accord signed by all the political parties and their candidates in the state, so that the election would be conducted peacefully.
“We have election coming up on Saturday and I needed to assess the level of preparation of INEC to be sure that things were going okay and I can say I am satisfied. We had engaged the Resident Electoral Commissioner, we asked a lot of questions and I can confirm that she is ready for the election. The sensitive and non-sensitive materials are here, they will start the distribution within the week. She made adequate plans so I am satisfied.”
