Abandoned projects: Group urges Obaseki to sanction defaulting contractors
A civil society group under the aegis of Talakawa Parliament (TP), on Tuesday, called on Edo State government to allow the Ministry of Justice press criminal charges against contractors who abandoned their projects in the state to serve as deterrent to other public office holders that want to toe the same line of corruption.
This was contained in a press statement entitled “Give Investigative Effect to the Audit Report On EDSOPADEC: Being An Open Letter To Governor Godwin Obaseki On The Shady Activities Of EDSOPADEC”, signed by its president, Marxist Kola Edokpayi and its secretary, Wilson Imasuen and made available to newsmen in Benin City.
