Zainab Saleh Becomes 58th President of International Women’S Society

In celebration of International Women’s Day, which was on Sunday the 8th of March, International Women’s Society (IWS) on Tuesday, 10th of March, held an Investiture ceremony for Hajiya Zainab Saleh who became the 58th President of IWS. The event which also doubled as a fund raising one took place at Terra Kulture in Victoria Island, Lagos. Affiliated to the Nigerian National Council of Women and the Open Door Association of International Women at the Hague in the Netherlands, the IWS is a a non-political, non-profit, non-religious and non-governmental association, embracing women from all over the world was founded in 1957 by public spirited women of all nationalities who had a common goal to foster cooperation and interaction between women and to uplift the situation of women and children. The investiture ceremony was well attended by members and supporters of IWS, including; Maiden Ibru, Marlies Allan, Mariam Bello, Yusuf Tuggar, Bayo Adeola, Gbemi Sasore, Nkiru Anumudu, Ekua Abudu, Ego Boyo, Frances Oghene, Femi Atilade, Nikki Khiran, Richard Sheidu and several others
