Vitória Guimaraes chase Anumudu

Portuguese club Vitória Guimarães SC are working on a deal to sign Nigeria U-20 international Udochukwu Anumudu. The Primeira Liga outfit have firmed up their interest by inviting the wing-back to undergo trials in Portugal ahead of a potential acquisition. Subject to a successful visa application, the highly-rated 18-year-old will jet out to Portugal in the next two weeks. Teams based in France, Belgium, Denmark, Norway and Croatia were interested in signing Anumudu before the cherry-picked Vitória Guimarães. The defender, who has been likened to Real Madrid’s Brazil star Marcelo by his minders, was one of the standout players in the Golden Eaglets squad that won the 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup.
