FIFA U-20 WWC: Falconets will fly over Canada—Edeji

Former Falconets striker, Chidinma Edeji has predicted victory for the side against opponents Canada at the on-going 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Papua New Guinea.
The Falconets will confront Canada in Wednesday’s group B matchday 2 clash at the Bava Park Stadium in Port Moresby.
Edeji said that the Nigerians were let down by the women in the middle against the Asian giants, Japan.
“I believe Falconets will get it right against Canada on Wednesday after the mishap against Japan on Sunday.
“Our major problem was in the midfield. Once we get it right in the middle every other thing will fall to its right places.
The coaches must ring changes in the midfield so that we will not see the attackers coming back to help as was the case against Japan.
“Canada are not cheap nuts, they are quite good in ball possession and if we make the mistake of allowing them space they will beat us silly.
“Canada are quite beatable once we do the needful as a win will boost their confidence to confront Spain in the last group match on Sunday,” said the Bayelsa Queens goal poacher.
Both sides lost their respective matchday 1 clashes to Japan and Spain, so they are in need of victory in order to stand a chance of qualifying from the group.
