Etebo sends Feirense to Portuguese Cup fourth round

The 20-year-old continued his fine form as his second half strike helped the Fogaceiros secure a place in the Portuguese cup fourth round

Oghenekaro Etebo scored Feirense’s winner in their 2-1 away victory over Alcanenense in the Portuguese League Cup on Sunday evening.

Fabinho got the curtain raiser for José Mota’s side before Patrick Igwe equalized for the Auri-black. The Olympics bronze medalist then secured the third round win after hitting the target in the 77th minute.

The goal counts as Etebo’s second this season after scoring in last week’s second round home victory against Tondela.

Feirense are 10th on the Primeira Liga table with nine points from seven games, and they welcome Vitoria de Setubal to Estádio Marcolino de Castro in their next league outing.
