Lockdown has certainly created a more stressful environment. Due to the interruption of work, school and other social activities caused by quarantine could result to boredom. Daily Times reports.
Continuously reading and hearing about covid-19 update could be stressful and boring which results to high intake of comfort foods known as food craving.
A lot has changed in our fitness journey since the quarantine started. Some took the break to their advantage of achieving their body goals for the year. While some didn’t rather the opposite.
If you are too lazy to exercise like me . Or a foodie to give up your carbs, fats and sweets. here are some tips that could do the trick of getting your dream body.
1. Eat within an 8 hours window
All meals for the day should be eaten within 8-hours window. we spend 16 hours of each day consuming nothing but unsweetened beverages like tea coffee and water. The remaining eight-hour window is when you eat all of the meals and snack. It helps to support weight loss and also improve the blood sugar, boost brain function and increase lifespan. Your eating window opens from 10am to 6pm. Don’t eat meal before 10am and after 6pm. You can shift the eating window to suit your lifestyle.
2 Start your day with a Detox tea or slimming tea.
Starting your day with a slimming tea or a detox tea is a good way to start your day. I ensure that I take my getfine slimming tea every morning before heading to work. A detox tea are herbal teas that help to improve weight loss. It helps to boost metabolism (rate at which the body burns fat) and also reduce stomach bloating. Ensure you take a cup of your slimming tea every morning before meal to get an effective result.
3. Reduce intake of sugar.
Sugar major culprit in weight gain since it contains calories, but not as much else in the way of vitamins, minerals, or anything else that’s good for you. Abstaining from all sugars (soft drinks, chocolate, ice-cream etc.) should be limited or completely avoided. Eat more of fresh fruit rather that sugary stuff.
4. Drink a lot of water.
Hydration is a major factor that play a role in weight loss, including digestion and muscle formation. Its 100% calories free. It helps to suppress your appetite and also burn calories. Drinking a lot of water throughout the day, especially before meals can help boost your metabolism by 24-30% over a period of 1-15hrs not to mention you are likely to eat less food when you drink water before a meal.
5. Exercise daily.
Get at least 5-10 minutes exercise daily. The best exercise I will recommend is skipping. Skipping tends to be one of the best fat burning workouts. Get yourself a skipping rope and use it for 5 minutes every morning/evening. This will help to boost your metabolism throughout the day and you will be surprised how much fat you will burn.
6. Get enough Sleep
My favorite part of the weight loss journey. Getting enough sleep is just as important as eating healthy or exercise. Your body is well rested, slowing down your metabolism and better utilize the nutrients from your food. Poor sleep is one of the strongest risk factors for obesity. So, ensure you get a good 6-8hrs sleep.
It may seem challenging at the beginning but through dedication and consistency you will achieve your dream body goal. Always have it in mind the more rules you follow, the faster your results!
