50, 000 Fans Unfollow Zayn Malik after Split with 1 Direction
He disappointed his fans and he is paying for it- sought of. So thousands of One Direction fans have unfollowed its former band-member, Zayn Malik on Twitter after the surprise publication of his first solo material.
The singer has lost 50,000 followers on twitter because some of his fans were angry that he released a new version of “I Won’t Mind” on SoundCloud.
It was released on Monday, less than a week after he walked away from One Direction midway through their On The Road Again world tour, claiming he want to be a ‘normal 22-year-old’.
According to MailOnline, the song is an old song, which was recorded for but ultimately did not make it on to One Direction’s last album FOUR. An insider explained:
‘It’s important fans know this isn’t a solo Zayn song or even representative of material he might record in the future. If you listen to the track it is clearly a song written with One Direction in mind for their last album. It’s not new, nor is it a Zayn Malik solo track.
