Saudi Arabian authorities on Wednesday executed three Yemeni citizens convicted of attempting to smuggle hashish into the kingdom, NAN reports.
The Interior Ministry said in Riyadh that the three convicts, Issa al-Hijri, Mohammed Seifi and Majed al-Ahdal were put to death

in the south-western city of Jazan, near the Yemeni border.
It said “Saudi Arabia implements a strict interpretation of Islamic law and imposes the death penalty for offences that include murder,
armed robbery, drug trafficking, rape and sorcery.”

The ministry added that 76 convicts have so far been executed in 2015, which was slightly below the 83 executions it carried out in
2014.
