2023: The next APC chairman ‘might’ come from the north

Plans are in the works by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to pick its next national chairmanship from the North, Daily Times has gathered.
According to claims by a credible source, stating that there it is unthinkable and seemingly impossible to keep the position of national chairman in the South owing to the agitation by the party faithful to zone the presidential ticket to the South in 2023.
The APC chairmanship position became vacant after the court of appeal upheld the suspension of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole as the party’s national chairman in June.

The suspension was followed by series of elongated leadership crises within the party, leading to the dissolution of the National Working Committee (NWC) by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party, at an emergency meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari on the 25th June 2020.
The party then constituted a Caretaker/ Extraordinary National Convention Planning Committee to see to the day-to-day affairs of the party. The committee is headed by the governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni.
