2019: We ‘re yet to release timetable for our primaries – APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that the party is yet to release its primaries election timetable ahead of the 2019 election as earlier reported in the media.
The report claimed that the ruling party had released its timetable for the primaries with the state House of Assembly primaries to hold on September 15, 2018, House of Representatives primaries fixed for September 19, 2018, Senate primaries scheduled for September 23, 2018, governorship primaries slated for September 28, 2018 while the presidential primaries fixed for October 6, 2018.
But in a statement made available on Thursday and signed by the acting National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Yekini Nabena, the APC stated that it is yet to announce its timetable for the conduct of primaries in the 2019 elections.
The statement reads in part, “Our attention has been drawn to a timetable circulating in the social media and published in one of the national newspapers , purportedly for the APC primaries for state House of Assembly, National Assembly, governorship and presidential positions.
“The timetable is fake and should be disregarded. The party is yet to announce its official timetable for the listed primaries”.
