2019: We are not in Alliance with SDP – ADP
The Action Democratic Party (ADP) has berated the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for sponsoring false news that the ADP has signed a memorandum of understanding with it towards 2019.
The party declares that this story of understanding is not only false but wicked, parading photographs of unknown persons led by one Dr. Emmanuel Onucheyo to buttress their falsehood.
Speaking to newsmen in his office in Abuja on Thursday, National Chairman of the Party, Engr. Yabagi Sani visibly disappointed by the report wondered why the SDP led by highly respected and disciplined Nigerian like Chief Olu Falae, will descend so low to sponsor and publish a deliberate defamatory report to injure our Party and gain undeserved advantage.
He said: “The Party is disappointed because the National Secretary of SDP, when contacted while the news first broke on social media had informed the leadership of ADP that the people who signed MOU with SDP came under the name of a group and not as ADP. We are therefore shocked that the party still went ahead to publish and circulate the news apparently to deceive gullible Nigerians and acquire undeserved popularity.
“We however still want to believe that an overzealous official of SDP would have been responsible as we still want to hold that the highly respected leadership of the SDP will not want to cut corners to attain popularity. However, if any individual or group of persons had succeeded in deceiving and defrauding the SDP that he is representing ADP and signing MOU on its behalf, too bad and unfortunate.”
The party leader insisted that the Action Democratic Party is standing strong and firm as the most credible alternative to our current experience and is working hard to deliver the alternative to Nigerians by 2019.
“ADP has not signed any memorandum with any political party or any group whatsoever, the party is strong enough to provide the canopy needed by all well-meaning Nigerians who desire a new nation where promises are kept and destinies are fulfilled. Action Democratic Party remains strong in the 36 states of the federation and FCT, fully set to contest the 2019 elections”, he said.
