2019: Group urges Bauchi indigenes to support Speaker Dogara

Bauchi state indigenes have been called upon to support the aspiration of the speaker of the House Representatives, Yakubu Dogara ahead 2019 general elections.

The call was made yesterday by a group, North East Youth Progressive Forum Bauchi via a press release made available to journalists in Bauchi.

The chairman of the group, Comrade Aliyu Ladan, said, “the speaker has identified himself with the entire good people of North East and as well made a lot of sacrifice and contribution towards the establishment of the North East Development Commission”.

The statement added that the, speaker has also help in mitigating all forms of suffering, such as poverty, hunger, intimidation, violence as well as ensured a rapid socio- political and economic development of the region.

“This notwithstanding, it has become inevitable for us to give all our warm and sincere support to him and as well stand by him firmly upon all odds in order to safeguard the image and integrity of this honourable gentleman”, the release affirmed.

The press release which described Dogara as an exemplary leader with a lot of positive mission and plans for the nation, called on people especially in the north east to come together irrespective of our political, social or religious inclination in the region to support speaker Yakubu Dogara for the socio economic progress of not only the North but the entire Nigerian state.
