2019: Atiku holds presidential declaration in Abuja July 28

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has unveiled his declaration plan to run for president in 2019. In a staggered declarations made available by his campaign manager and former Ogun State Governor Gbenga Daniel, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential hopeful will kick-off activities with a Solidarity Mega Rally in his home town, Yola, Adamawa State on July 4, 2018.

Attention will thereafter be shifted to Abuja on July 19 with a Pre -declaration Programme in the nation’s capital city while the mother of all declaration will take place on Saturday, July 28, 2018 with a Mega Rally at the Eagle Square, Abuja.

The rally, according to organisers, is set to ” begin a new page in Stimulating development and Atikulating Nigeria to the next level”.

Atiku has finally decided to unfold his presidential ambition to douse anxiety in the political space among parties and most especially within other aspirants jostling for the PDP ticket.

Sources close to the Turaki Adamawa said the decision to formally declare for the presidency on July 28 was due to nationwide consultations.

The source said, “After consulting far and wide those that matters in the politics of Nigeria and getting favourable response, it is an auspicious time for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to openly declare his interest to run in next year presidential election and to unveil the blueprint of national regeneration through which he intends to make Nigeria work again”.
