2019: Anambra police embark on officers’ training

Anambra State Police Command has commenced the training of quick intervention Units for 2019 general election and other security challenges in the area.

The training camp is in Onitsha where the officers are receiving their training on Crowd control, weapon handling, musketry, Baton and Rifles Exercise (BARE practices) and so on.

Speaking yesterday during an assessment visit to the camp, the Commissioner of Police Anambra State Command CP Garba Baba Umar psc said that the visit was as a result of directives by the Inspector General of Police IGP Ibrahim K. Idris, NPM.

Umar urged the officers to bend down and learn all the training skills and inculcate same against 2019 elections and future Security challenges.

The CP further implores them to be professional and Civil to members of the Public while discharging their duties in accordance with internationally acceptable best practices.
