The 2018 edition of the annual Badagry Heritage Festival would project the unique traditions and cultures of the Ogu and Awori people to other Nigerians and the international community.
Chairman, Badagry Local Government, Mr Olusegun Onilude told news men in Badagry on Wednesday that the festival would also boost trading and other activities of the people from the region.
“The festival will improve commerce, empower the rural communities and assist them to improve on their incomes,’’ he said.
Onilude said that the week-long festival that would hold between Aug. 20 and Aug. 26, would also stimulate the local economy of the city, adding that festival-related transactions worth several millions of naira would exchange hands then.
