2018 August meeting: Bende women build civic centre
It was all joy last Saturday as Bende women successfully realized their dream of a civic centre hall for their use.
This occasion was honoured by illustrious sons of Bende town and beyond including the senator representing Abia North at the Senate, MAO Ohuabunwa and Hon. Ben Kalu, as astute politician and businessman.
Confirming this during their 2018 August Conference of Bende Town Union, women’s wing, the President General of the Women’s wing, Dr. Sussan Nkechi Okorie disclosed that “a lot of progress has been made and our illustrious sons and daughters have benevolently assisted in their capabilities”.
Dr. Okorie insisted “our earnest desire is to have a roof on the building”, started since 2005.
