Against the predictions of the political enemies of Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State, a member of Board of Trustees, (BoT), Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka, expressed that the Governor will lead the party to victory in the 2017 governorship election in the State.
Chief Ezeonwuka who spoke in his country home at Oba, Idemili Local Government Area of the State during the tuesday court he holds in his home, said Governor Obiano has what it takes to lead his party APGA to victory in the coming election.
Chief Ezeonwuka who is the Ogirisigbo gave the assurance following the complaints of many Anambra citizens including APGA members about Governor Obiano’s cabinet said the Governor will come out with the re-organisation of the party and his government to ensure total victory in the next governorship election.
“He is the leader of the party. If the party dies, it is the leader that would be held responsible but he has shown the capacity to lead the party to victory “said Ezeonwuka.
Many Anambra people have complained that Obiano was not giving attention to road rehabilitation and construction as well as surrounded himself Diaspora people who are cut off from the reality of the people of the State.
But the APGA chieftain said a lot were being done on Anambra roads, stating that with the dry season setting in, the Governor has commenced comprehensive rehabilitation of Anambra roads, and expressed confidence that before the end of the season a lot of roads in the State would receive attention.
He said “the miracle of zero potholes is going on in the State now. All these failed roads including Igbo-Ukwu road are being worked on. The governor is working on Umunya-Awkuzu portion of the Enugu –Onitsha Expressway. Some of these roads are Federal Government road, yet he is working on them. All the bad roads in Anambra State must be visited.”
As the yuletide approaches, the APGA chieftain advised members of the public to be more security conscious even though there is security in the State, saying the people should know the right time to suspect people.
