It remains uncertain if today’s incident may have been a reprisal attack, considering the fact that the attack on Oshiomhole’s convoy comes barely 24 hours after Governor Godwin Obaseki’s motorcade was attacked by armed bandits at Erua village, in Uhunmwode local government area of the state.
The state governor reportedly escaped unhurt during the said incident.
Daily Times also gathered that two policemen were killed during the attack on Oshiomhole’s convoy, while the surviving security agents bravely fought off the assailants whose motive remains unclear as at the time of filing this report.
