1st October begins printing of Daily Times in Port Harcourt

The Daily Times Newspapers, Nigeria’s Independence newspapers, has announced the commencement of the printing of its copies in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital from Monday, November 6, 2017.
The printing of the nation’s soar away oldest newspaper will be at the ultra modern printing press of Ist October Publications Ltd, a subsidiary of Folio Media Group, owners of The Daily Times titles.
With this development, The Daily Times newspaper from this date will be available early on the newsstand across the eleven states of the South South and South East geo-political zones, namely: Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Edo and Delta. Others are Anambra, Enugu, Abia, Imo and Ebonyi, while the establishment of northern press will debut in Abuja early 2018.
In a statement by the management of the newspaper house, the printing press fully-owned by the Folio Media Group is one of the strategies aimed at repositioning The Daily Times as a major brand in the print journalism market, aimed at serving the printing interests of the two zones and correct the reportage imbalance.
With this strategy therefore, The Daily Times newspaper will fully claim and assume its rightful leadership position in the print journalism industry, the trail it has been blazing and known for in the last 91 years of its existence.
The people of the South South and South East zones now have a newspaper they can identify with and embrace as their own. With this feat accomplished by the Ist October Publications Ltd, both the South South and the South East zones are enjoined to patronising the printing press for their commercial printing jobs and advertorial placements simultaneously.
