Teenage girl, 17, dies at Leeds Festival due to suspected drugs overdose
A 17-year-old girl has died from overdose of drug intake at the Leeds Festival, which took place at Bramham Park, United Kingdom on Saturday .
Police officers made the confirmation, when they raided the event’s site in the early hours of this morning, after receiving reports that, one of the attendees of the festival from the Oldham area had been found dead at around 3.40.
According to the Leeds Festival’s Police Commander, Superintendent Matt Davison, “while the exact cause of her death is yet to be established, the information we have indicates that she has taken a combination of drugs.”

He further told others who were at the risk of taking illegal substances, particularly when mixing different types of drugs and drinking alcohol, to learn from what had happened.
Superintendent Davison also sent his condolences to the family of the deceased, saying, “Our thoughts are with the family of the girl who has died”.
Adding that, the family have asked that their privacy be respected at this extremely difficult time.
Meanwhile, a 17 year old from Oldham was arrested for allegedly supplying controlled drugs at the same event.
