Joshua appeals ruling on collapsed building

Pastor Temitope Joshua has lodged an appeal against a court ruling that he should testify about the collapse of the Synagogue church.

Seun Abimbola the lawyer of the pastor of The Synagogue Church announced the appeal as he explained his client’s fourth no-show at a hearing probing the tragedy.

It would be recalled in the tragedy of the collapsed guest house on Spetember 12, 2014, 116 people were killed, 81 of them South Africans. Abimbola, the lawyer to Pastor Joshua said, “We have filed a notice of appeal in respect of the high court ruling,” referring to the March 6 judgment that rejected Joshua’s claim that he should not be called as a witness. “We have also asked for a stay of execution of the judgment.”
The hearing was adjourned until Friday.
