10 Cars That Are Secretly Cool
Let’s face it: there are some cars that are just simply more appealing than others. While looked down upon by some, these cars all have some hipster appeal.
They look like they are made by Fischer-Price, but these cars are built to last and built to crush obstacles. If you’ve ever had to climb a hill in the snow or drive through washed out dirt roads in a puddle jumper, you will surely appreciate the power and execution of the pack.
A mixture of the rugged, old and new, the presentations would more than satisfy the needs of the discerning of minds. And the welcome surprises in this line-up are the vintage Ford ThunderBird, the over three decades old Volvo 240 and Volkswagen Rabbit, followed by the Toyota FJ Cruiser and the Honda Element…even the Smart Car.
However, the wonder of the whole pack is the Vespa Scooter. Though with a new/modern design, it was the toast of the Hausas of the North, reigning through more than three decades, as long as I know…probably still so to date.
It was probably designed for the women folk, with its easy boarding and disembarking access, but it also quickly became the men’s favourite, especially when they don their popular ‘Babanrigas’ and their ‘Hulas’.
The Vespa Super was an Italian made motorcycle that cut through age differences and affordable by the poor and the rich, especially of the northern Nigeria. And with good management and proper service schedule, this little wonder that came with 150cc two-stroke engine could serve their owners very well for more than 10 years.
