‎Floyd Mayweather Sued by Ex Girlfriend for $20 Million

‎‎Floyd Mayweather‎’s ex girlfriend and mother of his 3 children is suing him for $20million for Defamation after he said that she was on drugs during a 2010 domestic violence incident.

Josie Harris who has three children with the unbeaten boxer filed the $20 Million lawsuit on Tuesday claiming defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

In the court documents, she denies being a drug addict and her lawyer claims: “It was not Mayweather’s ‘restraint’ of Harris that caused her serious injuries, rather it was his beating of her.”

She claims that after the incident she went to hospital and was treat treated for head, facial and bodily injuries – as well as having cuts and bruises.

Mayweather previously pleaded guilty to reduced misdemeanour charges in which Josie claimed he had hit her in front of their children.

The boxing superstar was sentenced to 90 days behind bars before he was released after serving two months.

Last month Floyd told a popular American journalist, Katie Couric, in an interview that Josie was on drugs:

Did I kick, stomp, and beat someone? No, that didn’t happen… Did I restrain a woman that was on drugs? Yes, I did.

“So if they say that’s domestic violence, then, you know what? I’m guilty. I’m guilty of restraining someone.”

On Saturday evening the American fighter beat Manny Pacquiao on points in a hotly-anticipated fight in Las Vegas.
