Co-Founder, Orodata Science Nigeria, Mr Blaise Aboh, on Sunday urged the Federal Government to upgrade the country’s technology curriculum to boost the ICT sector.

Aboh, who made the call during a chat with newsmen in Lagos said that current curriculum content used in tertiary institutions was obsolete and should be retooled in line with modern trends.

“Technology has advanced now from the conventional level to a higher level. “Experts in the field have started moving to disruptive and cloud technology. “Most countries of the world had updated their curriculum, yet our curriculum still remain the same,” Aboh noted.

He added; “Right now the world is talking about Blog chain, Cloud technology, Artificial intelligent, Robotics, Big data, Open data, Data science, etc. “We cannot keep learning things from the 80s; all our schools curricula have to be reformed.

“Nigeria should have a way to incorporate all these things into its curriculum now.’’ Orodata is a leading programme developing company that originated as a start-up from the Silicon hub in Yaba, Lagos State. The company uses simplified data to inform citizens on government policy, programmes and activities.
